Creative Bible Journaling

Express Your Heart through Art

Welcome!

I am so excited that you are interested in offering a creative bible journaling session at your next ministry, team, or group gathering! I can partner with you make it an experience that honors the Lord and enriches your ministry or gathering with creativity and fellowship.

What is Bible Journaling?

Bible journaling is simply another way to study the Bible by taking a verse at a time, meditating on it as you write it out in a creative way. It's also a great way to work on memorizing scripture. This meditative and relaxing activity is soothing to the soul, giving the participant an opportunity to rest in the Lord's provision.

About Me

Hi! I'm Lynly. I have been a professional graphic artist for over 15 years. I work at Kimray in OKC as the Communications Graphic Artist and Curator. I have attended Trinity Baptist Church (Yukon) my whole life. My husband, Brian, is the Media Pastor at our church, and we have three children: Kynnedy, Deacon, and Loryn. We are active in our church and in our community of Mustang. We have a heart to serve where the Lord has placed us, and we embrace service to the church and to the community as a life-long calling. I have been a believer for over 30 years. Every testimony is unique and glorifies the Lord. While my story is simple and uncomplicated, there have still been mountain highs and valley lows. When I meet with women one on one or in groups, I strive to listen first before offering advice or guidance. I use my gifts of hospitality, service, and discernment to honor my Savior. Creativity is the bow on top of the gifts the Lord has given me.

“Every testimony is unique and glorifies the Lord.”

What I Offer to Ministry Partners

In my workshops, I offer a time to fellowship, to relax, and to experience the love and peace of God in a creative way that many have not experienced in the past. A background in art is not required at all! The techniques and tutorials I share are simple, creative, and fun.

I offer three types of workshops that can be tailored to your group's age, participants, or available facility.

    1. Full-Day Workshop: 6-8 hours, up to 30 participants per event, ages 12 and over
      • I facilitate a full day workshop anytime between 8am and 5pm. Many people, myself included, have asked if it really takes that much time. It really does! It takes time to find your groove, figure out what style or verse you want to focus on, and dive in. I encourage every participant to plan to stay for the entirety of the event.
      • I teach participants how to use different mediums, styles, and techniques to capture their thoughts and prayers, either in their Bible or in a journal. I work with printable paper pieces (think scrapbook style), watercolor, colored pencils, pen and ink, and others.
      • I provide printable devotional kits found on illustratedfaith.com in each of my workshops. I can work with an event/ministry theme, or I can provide a theme for you.
      • I am available on Facebook to engage with your group’s page or event page prior to and after the event for encouragement and supply suggestions.
    2. Half-Day Workshop: 4-5 hours, up to 30 participants per event, ages 12 and over
      • Short on time? In this half-day workshop (morning or afternoon/evening) I will introduce a devotional and lead your group through a creative exercise to introduce them to Bible journaling in two mediums of choice that suits your group's preference.
      • I am available on Facebook to engage with your group’s page or event page prior to and after the event for encouragement and supply suggestions.
    3. Mini Workshop: 3 hours, up to 15 participants per event, ages 10 and over
      • Get your girlfriends together and have a Bible journaling party! I will introduce a simple devotional and complementary printable set to your group, and show you how to use it in either a journal or your Bible.

What I Ask of Ministry Partners

  • Set a date with your selected facility's coordinator.
  • Create a relaxing and welcoming atmosphere using you or your ministry’s gifts of hospitality that suit your guests’ needs and expectations. That can include:
    • Basic art supplies, such as scrapbook papers, markers, pens, colored pencils, scissors, etc.
    • Floral arrangements
    • Optional light brunch items, appetizers, or afternoon snacks
    • Boxed or catered lunch for full-day workshops
    • Coffee and tea service
    • Name tags and name place cards
    • Door prizes or gifts
    • Background music
    • Sound equipment for larger spaces
      • These amenities have been instrumental at my previous workshops and create a very personalized experience. If you would like suggestions on catered lunches or additional amenities mentioned above, I’d be happy to share with you what has worked at past events.
      • I’ve provided an Amazon recommendation list of items that I suggest having on hand. Many of the items are listed for clarification purposes, so you do not necessarily have to purchase the whole list. Your participants may want to bring what they already have, or you can provide a few items to get started.
  • My fee for leading, instructing, and providing a set of printables for a full-day workshop is $300, a half-day workshop is $200, and a mini workshop is $150.
  • Additional hours can be added for $10.00 per hour. If more than 30 participants are expected, there will be an extra $10 per person added to the fee. This covers time for my assistant to join the event.
  • I am available for travel for an additional fee if it is outside of a 30-mile radius of Oklahoma City, based on mileage.

What I Ask of Participants

  • Bring a Bible, a journal, and a willing heart.
  • Bring any scrapbooking-type supplies they may already have on hand.
